ME'scopeVES v5.1 Installation Instructions

Install ME'scopeVES v5.1

MEscopeVES_v51_Setup.exe (~135MB)

• Click on MEscopeVES_v51_Setup.exe to install ME'scopeVES v5.1.
• In the dialog box that opens, press Run to start downloading the installation software.
• When the installation software has downloaded, a second window will open. Press Run again and follow the instructions to install ME'scopeVES.
• If installing ME'scopeVES on a computer not connected to the Internet or if an error occurs while installing the prerequisites automatically, the following prerequisites must be downloaded and installed manually prior to installing ME'scopeVES
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (Already installed on Windows 7)
  Web Installation, Full Package
• DirectX Update (Required only for Windows XP only)
  Web Installation, Full Package
• Microsoft SQL Server 3.5 Compact Edition
• Visual C 2005 Run Time Libraries
• Visual C 2008 Run Time Libraries

Copy your License File into the ME'scopeVES v5 Folder

• Copy your License file into the folder containing the ME'scopeVES application. Your license file is named VES#####.DAT, where ##### is your license number. This folder is typically found at C:\Program Files\MEscopeVES_v5.
• Your License File can be found in one of the following locations:
  1. If ME'scopeVES v4.0 is installed, then the license file can be copied from the ME'scopeVES v4.0 folder. The Version 4 folder is typically found at C:\Program Files\Vibrant Technology, Inc.\ME'scopeVES.
  2. If you have an ME'scopeVES Installation CD, the license file can be found under the ME'scopeVES folder on the CD.
  3. If you are using a Software License (which was attached to the ME'scopeVES v5 Installation email sent to you), this License will be activated the first time you run ME'scopeVES. (See instructions below)

Activate ME'scopeVES Software License (For Software Licenses only)

• Run ME'scopeVES v5.1 by executing All Programs | Vibrant Technology, Inc. | MEscopeVES from the Start Menu.
• In the dialog box that opens asking for an Activation Code, press the Activate using the Internet button if you are connected to the Internet.
• If you are not connected to the Internet or Internet Activation fails, email your License Number and Security Code to activate@vibetech.com. When you receive your Activation Code, run ME'scopeVES version 5 and enter the Activation Code into the dialog box that opens to activate ME'scope.
• NOTE: A ME'scopeVES Software License can only be activated on one computer.
